RemainingAran & Worsted Yarn
Aran weight yarns and worsted weight yarns are often interchangeable, but actually different weights. Worsted weight yarn is finer and calls for 4.5mm needles and hook, and aran weight yarn is used 5mm needles or hook. Aran weight yarn is sometimes known as heavy worsted weight or 10ply, too. If you love a speedy knit or crochet make, aran wool and worsted weight yarn brings all the drape of a finer yarn but work up faster than their lightweight cousins.
