I bought this to knit socks for my daughter-in-law who always has cold feet. Mostly I was interested in ease of care since she is a working mother. For some reason, I presumed it was *********, but discovered my mistake when it arrived. Thought I’d try it anyway, although I‘ve had to alter the pattern due to the thickness of the yarn. Using size 3 needles instead of the recommended much larger size. It is knitting up so beautifully into nice thick socks for her. I am thrilled, as I’m sure she will be too once I finish them. These will keep her feet warm this cold Montana winter, and with the ease of care your super wash offers, she won’t hesitate to wear them and will probably ask for more! So despite my boo-boo with the yarn weight, it’s 100% a win!
Cascade 220 is a good solid yarn at a good price. The color was nice and bright!. I did not do a gauge swatch but I think it knit up a light worsted. It was easy to crochet, too.
Love how this knits. It's just the right level of soft, and it makes me look like a much better knitter than I am! Can't wait to do other projects with other colors!!

Really lovely wool, wonderful range of colours, great to knit with, lovely and soft and fabulous for colour work. What else could you possibly want? ........ Well one or more of each of the well over 250 balls in the whole range🐑🐏🐑
Very happy with this wool. I have been buying wool at twice the price and felt I needed to look around for something cheaper. This fits the bill. The colours are lovely and there is very little stretch in it to confuse tension issues. I am using it for crochet and knitting - both toys - and it is doing the job very nicely. I recommend it and Lovecraft as a place to buy with great customer service.
This yarn as knit up smoothly and has a really good stitch definition, no knots in the yarn and has washed beautifully and hangs with a lovely drape.
