Product Details
This is a pattern for a plus size shawl crescent shaped shawl. However, there are also directions for a regular size shawl contained within the pattern. The larger shawl is 80 inches wide by 32 inches deep and is knit on a size US #9 (5.5mm) needles, and the smaller shawl is 68 inches wide and 27 inches deep and is knit on size #7 (U.S.) (4.5mm) needles..
The sample that is pictured is of the larger of the shawls.
The focal stitch is a pretty leaf stitch that comes to us from Japan. The edging stitch is one of the more ornate Shetland edging patterns. Combined, they make a beautiful shawl.
The stitches are both charted and written out line by line.
Skill level: Intermediate
Any heavy weight fingering weight yarn or sport weight yarn will work for this pattern.
