Knitted up beautuful for baby blanket

I realized after making 2 parts to a baby sweater that I was not going to have enough yarn to finish it. I ordered more yarn and was very disappointed to see it was at least 2 shades darker than the original. Since the yarn was acrylic I was very surprised that the different dye lot made such a difference. I have never had this problem in the 50 years I have been knitting. Unfortunately I now have to remake the sweater in a smaller size.
