With this easy pattern you can make a very sturdy mole, with a miners safety helmet if you like.
Size: 6 inch/ 15,5 cm sitting when made with Istex Lett Lopi and hook E / 3,5 mm.
The instructions are written in US crochet terms. The pattern contains a list of materials, tools and accessories needed. Brand and colour numbers of the needed yarn. A clear and colour coded description of how to crochet and assemble the animal. Pictures and illustrations to help getting everything right.
Materials Worsted weight yarn and an E US/3.5 mm crochet hook. You’ll need two colours of yarn, brown black (1/3 of a 100 yard skein) and oatmeal (1/10) and a bit of pink for the nose. For the eyes I’ve used 5 mm animal eyes and I needle felted a pink nose (0.3 inch/ 1 cm). You will also need fibrefill and pellets for a bit of extra weight in the body (I use Hama beads). For the miners safety hat you need two extra colours, yellow and light grey. Lopi colour numbers: 0052,1419, 1703 and 0054.
