With this very easy pattern, you can make a funny and realistic looking crochet otter.
Size: 6 inch/ 15 cm when made with Istex Lett Lopi and hook E / 3,5 mm.
The instructions are written in US crochet terms. The pattern contains a list of materials, tools and accessories needed. Brand and colour numbers of the needed yarn. A clear and colour coded description of how to crochet and assemble the animal. Pictures and illustrations to help getting everything right.
Materials For this crochet otter you’ll need worsted weight yarn and an E US/3.5 mm crochet hook. You’ll need three colours of yarn, brown (2/3 of a 100 yard skein), beige (1/10) and a left over bit of very dark brown or black for the nose. For the eyes I’ve used 8 mm animal eyes. You will also need fibrefill and pellets for a bit of extra weight in the body (I use Hama beads). A pipe cleaner for the tail is optional. Lopi colour numbers: 0053, 0086 and 0052.
