Product Details
This is a design based on M. C. Escher´s work that you knit in one piece, there´s no sewing involved at all! The intarsia technique makes this possible.
There is a scarf and a cowl version of the pattern. For the scarf you will work with fingering weight and for the cowl with lace weight yarn.
If you are familiar with working from a chart, have access to a colour printer - which is necessary to print the coloured charts -, consider yourself a fairly experienced knitter and are in the mood for a very detailed, delicate and somewhat different knit, you will like this pattern!
Please note: Since the scarf may be worked with yarn of any weight, ranging from lace to DK, there is no exact gauge given. Just make sure that your needles match the yarn you choose and keep in mind that you will want a tight stitch pattern for the lace weight version as well.
The sample used Isager Strik Alpaca 1 in addition to the yarn stated. A substitute yarn is shown below.
