Xmas Rose

I’ve wanted to knit a Fair Isle sweater for a long time, I but it wann’t be too classic and wearable for all sizes. Here it is, Xmas Rose, casual and with defined shoulders.

Mohair was deliberately used as the second yarn / color in the Fair Isle pattern, which makes it easier to keep the yarn tension. The mohair yarn is knitted in two strands as it is thinner than the merino and it bonds well with the merino yarn when knitting the pattern.

The two yarns are well matched in color, the mohair thread in the color Succulente has a light green tone and thus perfectly matches the color Zen of the merino yarn.

The shirt should be worn with an ease (bust circumference of 16 cm / 6 inches. Sample is shown in size 4.

GAUGE

24,5 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 inch with needle size 3.5 mm / US 4 in stockinette stitch after blocking.
