Woven Willow Mittens

These stunning mittens are designed with crocheters and comfort in mind!

They’re worked in one piece, with only 3 ends to sew in. The simple st combinations – which remind me of woven willow baskets and sculptures – create 2 distinctly beautiful faux-knit looks with minimal effort.

There’s an extra long and snug cuff to keep out the cold, which can be tucked into coat sleeves or doubled up and folded over. And the heavier yarn weight makes them extra toasty, keeping out cold draughts better than most crochet wear (they’ve been tested down to –2C in our household!).

You’ll work the cuffs 1st, then the base of the mitten, before splitting for the thumb and finger sections.
