What's a wishing rock? It's a smooth stone, often found on rocky beaches and shorelines, that has a single, unbroken band of white around it. Find one, make a wish, and throw it into the water. While I wouldn't recommend throwing your shawl into the ocean, how about stitching your wishes into its stripes, then popping it into a nice bubbly blocking bath instead?
