Winter Creek Vest

Cozy cables wrap around neck and shoulders and cascade down the front of this versatile vest. Knit in worsted weight, with an intuitive and relaxing cable pattern, slight A- line shaping for a casual fit, and minimal finishing, it will be a lovely addition to your fall and winter wardrobe.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate. Techniques include long tail cast on, short row shaping, m1 increases, cables, and picking up stitches.

CONSTRUCTION: Worked from the top down, beginning with the back collar. Stitches for the fronts, including the cable collar, are picked up from either side, the collar is shaped with short rows, and increases are worked for the front armholes. Stitches are then picked up from the back of the collar, the neck is shaped with short rows, and increases are worked for the back armholes. Fronts and back are joined and the body is worked in one piece to the hem, with increases for slight A-line shaping, and finished off with ribbing.
