This necklace is crocheted all in one piece, adding the flowers as you go. The flowers are about 4.5cm across. It would work with most yarns. If you wanted a different size necklace you could easily substitute the 4ply for a thicker or thinner yarn. The necklace is designed to slide over your head.
The Dorset buttons in the centre of each flower are made using a contrasting lace weight and are added afterwards. The button instructions are included in the pattern. You will need a blunt ended needle like a tapestry needle, 9 x 1.5cm brass rings and about 18m of lace weight yarn to make them.
