My inspiration for the Vanilla Ice Cardigan came from just such moments—as autumn crisply whispered that winter was quickly approaching, resulting in a cosy, cable-rich design created for the colder months, the cardigan blends warmth and comfort with understated elegance.
Needles:
US 5/3.75 mm needles (40”/100 cm circulars, to p/u armhole sts)
US 6/4 mm needles (40”/100 cm circulars)
US 6/4 mm needles (DPN)
Use size needed to obtain gauge.
Crochet hook:
H/5 mm (used to finish the pocket edges)
Should be larger than size of larger needles used.
Notions:
Cable needle, stitch holders and waste yarn, stitch markers, tapestry needle.
CONSTRUCTION
Vanilla Ice Cardigan is knit seamlessly top-down, working the front bands and body simultaneously. Set in sleeves are worked in-the-round from the armhole to the cuff.
