The classic shape of a tree lends itself so well to the incorporation of knit cables into a curving trunk and branches.
There are many knit tree designs available, but I wanted to create my own. After many hours of knitting, note scribbling, re-knitting and tweaking; many prototypes and design changes, this is the final result!
I used a worsted weight yarn for this 16" x 16" pillow cover. It has a 3 button closure and is finished with a single crochet border.
The pattern is written row by row, not as a chart. If you are familiar with using a cable needle and counting rows you should have no trouble with this pattern.
