Product Details
Bloomsbury DK is a beautiful silky soft DK weight yarn, spun from the softest merino wool. This hand-dyed yarn is perfect for knitting cosy sweaters and scarves and will knit to any DK weight pattern. Bloomsbury has a wonderfully soft handle that is luxuriously gentle on the skin, and suitable for all types of knitting and crochet. The final spun thread has been plied together with just enough twist to prevent pilling but to allow the fabric to softly drape.
The 10 launch colours have been personally designed by Irish designer Carol Feller. Known for designing knitwear that is well shaped, flattering to wear and enjoyable to knit Carol likes to work with different construction methods, so long as they enhance the knitting experience. Carol has divided the palette into three sets of colours that work well together and enhance each other: Blues, Fall and Fuchsia.

Excellent wool which knits well.
This is the second Bloomsbury DK that I have used and it knits beautifully. I have made a jumper and am currently making a shawl.
Beautiful colors and very soft.
Toni Lipsey recommended this yarn for her Odyssey Wrap. I had never heard of it and thought maybe I'd use some other DK weight that I already had. But then someone in the Yarn Hive mentioned a sale on this yarn and said, "If anyone is planning to make the Odyssey Wrap, it's worth getting this yarn." So I ordered it and I loved it from the first few moments! I plan on buying more to use in other projects. Every single time I worked on this project using this yarn, I kept noticing how much I loved the yarn. I can't really describe why, but I did!

This is lovely to knit with and doesn’t split. Soft and comfortable to wear, but I haven’t tried to wash it yet.
It blocked out really big and shapeless couldn't regain its shape had to frog the whole garment
I love this yarn. I’ve already knitted myself a jumper in one colour and it’s so comfortable that I wanted to knit another in a different colour. It’s lovely to knit with and so, so warm and comfy to wear. There’s a bit of “pilling” which is why I only gave 4 stars but otherwise would have been 5 ⭐
This yarn knits like a dream. It's buttery soft, and is exactly what I needed for the cowl I'm creating. It's warm, and knits up beautifully with great stitch definition.
