The Bambino Cardigan and Hat set is a quick and simple to crochet set which produces an adorable little cardigan, making for the perfect baby gift. Worked top down, this cute little raglan style cardigan is ideal for keeping baby cosy. The accompanying hat is worked bottom up and the perfect addition to an already super cute little outfit.
This pattern uses US Terminology and simple stitches such as half double crochet, double crochet and front and back post double crochet stitches. Knowledge of the foundation double crochet stitch is useful for a quick start and stretchy neckline, however can be substituted with a chain and double crochets, which also work effectively.
The Bambino cardigan and hat work up beautifully in Hayfield Bonus DK yarn (or any soft acrylic double knit yarn). A 3.5mm hook is recommended for this project however check with the gauge to ensure your tension matches this hook size.
