Product Details
About the Design: Teddy bears come in all sizes and shapes – much like people, but generally, they are not proportioned like people. So I chose 3 bear lengths and designed a jacket to fit all 3, in an effort to cover a wider range of the teddy bear sizes a child might own.
The jacket has most of the design details of the full-sized Sweatshirt Jackets, with a few small changes to accommodate the unique sizing of a teddy bear. In this way, a knitter, new to sweater making, gets much of the “exercise” of making a jacket, while using much less yarn and taking much less time!
Yarn Options: 1 / 1 / 2 skeins C1 (lighter color) and 1 / 1 / 2 skeins C2 (darker color), OR 1 / 2 / 3 skeins, for a one-color jacket – see yarn color options, but DO choose 2 colors YOu like!
Gauge: 1. 16 sts and 22 rows = 4″ (10 cm) in st st using size 9 ndls (or size to give gauge). 2. 16 sts and 32 rows = 4″ (10 cm) in Close Stitch patt. To save time, take time to check gauges.
