This pattern can actually be made in any yarn. Gauge doesn't really matter...go for a needle size that gives you good drape. It looks like a lot of work....but is realatively easy to memorize. I have made it long so that it could be wrapped around twice, but it could also be made shorter. Easily customizable for either a symetrical or asymetrical look.
