The Sunny Waves Shawl is one of those light, easy projects that just feels like summer. It’s soft, breezy, and wraps beautifully around your neck and shoulders without ever feeling bulky. I made this one using a Woolly Whirl in the shade Custard Cream Centre, and the soft colour changes reminded me of sunlight on the sand and gentle waves at the beach.
It’s an asymmetrical shape that drapes really nicely and works up with a simple stitch pattern, perfect if you’re a beginner or just in the mood for something calm and soothing to crochet. You’ll only need one cake of yarn, and it’s the kind of project that’s easy to pick up and put down whenever you have a quiet moment.
Finished size is approx. 215 x 70 cm, but you can adjust it if you want something longer or shorter. Available in English (US + UK) and Dutch.
