Product Details
This large triangular scarf design only takes two skeins of 4ply yarn (800m/874yds) so is very good value for its size. Unlike my Something For The Weekend scarf/shawl, you can’t knit Something For The Big Weekend in a weekend (it takes a few days longer!), but it still captures the feeling of a weekend perfectly.
Suitable for knitters of all abilities, it's ideal for beginners looking for a project with a slight challenge. Don't let the big cast on put you off! Keep a close eye on your stitch count, use a few stitch markers and you'll see this pattern is far easier than it looks. And for the seasoned knitter, it's a great box set companion that can be put down and picked up easily again.
It's a rhythmic knit that does requires blocking and results in a beautiful shawl that looks great as a bandanna or over the shoulders. But however you choose to wear it, you'll be sure to have a few versions of this pattern in your wardrobe!
