These are lovely, quick and easy patterns. They are an easy next step for a beginner, yet still interesting enough for an intermediate knitter.
I used a soft and cosy yarn from Schachenmayr. I picked this artic white colour, which then inspired me to create a snowflake design. You can use any super chunky / super bulky yarn you like.
Both items are knitted flat on two needles and joined together at the rear.
These items knit up quickly so you won’t need to wait long before you can enjoy wearing them or being able to give them as a gift.
Hat size: Although the measurement states circumference of 48cm/19in, it is meant to stretch to fit a head with a circumference of 54cm/21in to 58cm/23in. Adult size.
You need 1 ball (200g / 7oz) for Cowl and 1 ball of 100g / 3.5 oz of wool for the hat.
In total - 2 balls of Schachenmayr Bravo Big, or 4 balls of Paintbox Yarns Wool Mix Super Chunky (in total you need 200 meters / 218 yards of Super Chunky Yarn). .
