A really soft baby yarn though it does seem a little thin for a double knit.
I've used sirdar snuggly before it's a lovely yarn to knit with for babies and children would recommend this yarn can be a bit pricey but it's worth it

Sirdar is the only wool I would knit with and as an 81yr old and with grandchildren and gt grandchildren I am always knitting!I have just completed 6 jumpers for one of them!all in sirdar,its soft to feel and machine washes perfectly.
