This traditional hap is knitted in laceweight cashmere yarn, making it a real heirloom to be treasured for years to come.
The classic construction begins with a central square which is worked diagonally in garter stitch. Stitches are then picked-up and knitted outwards in the round in a pretty Shetland lace pattern, then my self-designed edging border is worked in short rows around the lace edging to bind off the piece.
The pattern includes written instructions and a small chart for the edging border.
The shawl can be made in a single shade from 4 x 50gm Yarntelier Cashmere Lace, although the featured coastal shades add a fun modern element to the design.
