A Scots word for chains, Rackle features dainty, twisted stitch cables that forming a series of chains on the back of the hand. This fingerless mitts pattern is a really quick and fun make – perfect for yourself or a gift for anyone. For the perfect fit, knit a size which gives you at least 1 cm (0.5”) of negative ease. Change things up be swapping the left and right glove, and watch the cable pattern wrap around the side of your hand!

The pattern is fully written instructions, with charts for the cable pattern and also includes a photo tutorial for the Estonian Cast-On and for working the cables without a cable needle. The pattern has been tech edited and test knitted. There’s a screenshot of the pattern, and a list of the stitches used at the bottom of the photos. These additional techniques are used: picking up stitches.
