My simple Selbu mittens feature the iconic Norwegian eight leaf rose and a little spruce tree at the top. This pattern uses worsted weight yarn on US size 7 needles with a gauge of 5 stitches and 6 rows to the inch.
I have included two sets of charts with this pattern, one with dark color dominant and one with light color dominant. I find using patterns that match the color scheme I’m using much easier than trying to swap the colors in my head.
This pattern produces an adult size large mitten that will fit an 8 inch circumference palm. Size can be adjusted by changing needle and yarn size.
