Knitted in DK weight yarn, this is a quick and fun project that makes a lovely gift. The mushroom rattle looks beautiful in a whole range of colours - change the look by mixing up colour combinations and varying the density of the embroidered spots.
Worked all in one piece, flat on two straight needles.
The mushroom rattle is the perfect shape for baby - they can hold the stem in their fist and chew, squash and pull the mushroom as much as they like. Knitted all in one piece it’s very sturdy!
Any DK (8ply) weight yarn is suitable for this project. I recommend choosing a good quality cotton for the best results and durability.
The finished rattle measures approx. 14cm tall x 31cm round at the widest point and 11cm around the stem
