Who can resist a beautiful, hand-dyed skein of yarn? Well, obviously not me
- and that was the inspiration for this lacy shawl. Few things are more disappointing than seeing a gorgeous lace pattern knit up with an equally gorgeous multi-colored yarn, only to find that the combination diminishes both. The Multiflora shawl was designed specifically to show off the beauty of hand-dyed and other multi-colored yarns, while creating an attractive lacy fabric with excellent drape - of course, it'll look pretty great in a solid-colored yarn, too!
Yarn 540 yards (494 m) lace-weight yarn
Needles US size #1 (2.25 mm) 29" or longer circular, or size to obtain gauge; One additional needle of similar size for three-needle bind-off
Gauge 28 sts x 48 rows = 4" in stockinette st, unblocked; gauge is not crucial for this project
