To celebrate 100 years since the Armistice of World War I, my village will be decorating our Commonwealth War Graves with the national flag of each serviceman. This is a pattern for the Canadian flag.
The final flag is one size, approximately 17 x 10 cm and uses oddments of 4 ply yarn. You can increase the size of the finished flag by using a thicker yarn and larger needles.
1 x 50 g skein of scarlet red 4 ply yarn 1 x 50 g skein of white 4 ply yarn a small piece of fabric (20 x 15 cm) to back the flag (optional) A short piece of narrow dowel or bamboo skewer to act as a flagpole (optional).
