A little bit of this and a little bit of that creates something new and wonderful. Lovely Stripes takes the eyelets from the Lovely Eyelets shawl and the stripes from 8 Simple Stripes and creates a larger, lighter, and airier shawl with lots of design versatility. It's perfect for mini skeins, fade sets, complementary or contrasting colours, or even a single shade.
The pattern is written for a mini-skein set of 5 colours (SweetGeorgia Party of Five in Royals) plus an additional skein of a 6th colour (SweetGeorgia Tough Love Sock in Lilac) but includes a yarn use diagram to help you plan alternate yarn combinations. It is also shown here in a Koigu Pencil Box mini-skein set.
Skills required: Increasing, decreasing, knitting eyelets, changing yarns for stripes, blocking your shawl. Stitches used: k, p, kfb, k2tog, yo.
Pattern includes written instructions, list of abbreviations, diagram, and notes.
