Lebkuchenhäuschen

“Lebkuchenhäuschen” (Gingerbread house) vest is worked in separate parts from the neck down. First, the Back is worked, then stitches for the Fronts are picked up along the shoulder, and the two halves of the Front with are first worked separately, then joined to each other after shaping of the V-neckline. Back and Front are joined after armhole shaping has been completed. Neckline edge and armhole edges are finished with ribbing.

Positive ease of ~ 10–12 cm 4.0–4.72 in is recommended for this garment.

Needles and Materials:

– Yarn: Mykonos by WolleWien (100% Merino wool, 72 m / 50 h 79 yds / 1.75 oz) in colors F01 (milk white) (Main Color), F29 (beige) (Color 1) and F25 (burgundy) (Color 2);

– circular knitting needles 4.0 mm US6, 5.0 mm US8, 5.5 mm US9

or other size to obtain gauge;

– stitch markers, stitch holder, spare circular, extra cords or a piece of auxiliary yarn, tapestry needle;

– tapestry needle.
