Hanging Sun is a crochet haori-style cardigan, open front with airy mesh stitch pattern, perfect for cool seasons.
I started designing this cardigan when I was waiting a midnight transfer flight in Bangkok airport. While I was making this cardigan, an image of the sun hanging close to the horizon came to my mind. It was beautiful and a reminder of my very first unforgettable trip after the pandemic.
Simple and enjoyableThe construction is straight-line without shaping, offering lots of positive ease. Since it has no waistline, Hanging Sun is considered as a unisex garment.
The stitch pattern is easy to follow and enjoyable to make.
