THIS IS A LOOP YARN FINGER-KNITTING PATTERN. The Extra-Long Celtic Cable Saxon Braid Blanket is a mixed pattern of cables of different sizes with a centre pattern of a repeating Saxon braid. The Saxon braid is a common feature and centrepiece of Irish knitting. This pattern is a re-interpretation of my Chunky Celtic Cable Saxon Braid Blanket pattern in a larger size. (UK KNITTERS CAN SUBSTITUTE 8 SKEINS OF BERNAT ALIZE BLANKET-EZ YARN.)
