Product Details
A very Victorian shoulder shawl in three sizes (Petite/Medium/Tall), to knit in heavier laceweight or light fingering yarn. The cozy yoke is worked in garter stitch with shoulder shaping and finished with a tiny stand-up collar and lace edging at center front edges. The solid fabric opens into a zigzag lace motif for a stunning openwork hem that can be worked in a variety of lengths according to yarn supply. Striking as it is, this piece is simple enough to make a great first shawl project or a pleasant traveling companion. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size.
Sample is shown in size petite knit in Great Northern Yarns Mink/Milk/Baby Merino blend, colorway Heathered Merlot. Substitute yarns are suggested below.
