A beautiful blue 100% wool yarn. Works up beautifully and does not split. Crochets into even looking stitches and feels like my cardigan will be warm and last well!
Cascade 220 is a premium yarn which works up beautifully. I hadn’t realised it would come in a skein but after borrowing a wool winder , soon had a working yarn! Great colour choice.
Excellent yarn. Beautiful to work with and feels warm! It came in skeins which I hadn’t thought about so had to borrow a wool winder but that was a minor issue. Highly recommend Cascade, also a beautiful range of colours!
I am a huge fan of Cascade 220, both heathered and not heathered shades. I must have knitted at least a dozen jumpers and cardigans in them. They are my usual choice of yarn for hats and leg/wrist warmers I gift as Christmas or winter birthday presents. The yarn works well on 4.5 to 5.5 mm needles, depending on what tension and look you prefer. Each skein is a great value for money with some 200m of soft, pure wool - it certainly goes a long way. One skein is plenty for a pair of leg warmers or a slouchy hat. I would say that the Peruvian wool in Cascade 220 is suitable next to skin for most people, even the sensitive ones. It is one of the reasons I often make baby garments and accessories with this yarn. My only issue is that there are SO MANY delicious shades to choose from, I always struggle finding THE colour for my project.
Received quickly. A pleasure to knit.
Cascade 220 has been on the market for years because it is great quality and highly versatile. I love having a wool yarn that fulls and comes in a range of colors. It’s a keeper.
This lovely 100% wool arrived in a skein which then had to be re-round into a ball. I did the job on the back of an office chair. If you have no experience in doing this you'd find it irksome at best, infuriating at worst since the skein is wound in three pieces and the wool keeps going up and down between the pieces when being re-round. If you did it like me, you'd need patience. There are most likely many ways of dealing with a skein, including using a wool winder. Anyways - be prepared! The wool is expensive, no doubt, but you get what you pay for and if you're hand crafting an item for a dear friend then you want the best. The wool knits up well - I was using the Ascot style scarf pattern - holds the pattern beautifully. It is robust and warm. I choose the colour to match my friend's darker skin tones. She loved it which is what counts. I had no problem ordering with Love Crafts, they kept me well informed with emails. The carrier (Royal Mail) delivered on time and to the door of my first floor flat.
I love this wool. This is the 4th jumper I used it for. Always pleased with the results.
Enjoying knitting with this wool. Feels natural and substantial. Am feeling the quality of this yarn.
My go to wool worsted yarn. Soft and warm, great stitch definition, perfect for sweaters, hats and scarfs. .
