When I decided to create a mystery knit along, I reached out to dyer Terina from Love & Speckles yarn and asked if she would create a yarn set for me based on several of her existing colourways. She kindly obliged and the resulting palette reminded me of the Australian Spider orchid, one of the Caladenia orchid family. I began by drawing these spectacular flowers and let the shawl design evolve from there. Caladenia is an adventurous project, combining short rows, mosaic and lace to create a mysterious garden full of flowers and foliage. Learn some new techniques along the way and create a gorgeous shawl you’ll take great pride in wearing.
The pattern includes both written and charted instructions for the lace and mosaic sections.
Choose between 3 or 4 colours. It is important that C1 contrasts strongly against C3 (or C2 if using 3 colours)
