Finally, the perfect cat ear hat! This pattern has actual ears, not just square corners like most ear hats. The front of each ear has a purled inner ear and a flat stockinette back, more like a real cat ear. Shaping on the sides of the hat brings the ears down on the sides of the head a little, so they don't stick straight up. Simple chunky cables look cozy with a stylish bulky fit. Best of all, it works up in no time with one skein of Thick & Quick super bulk yarn.

Pattern is worked from the hem up through the body of the hat. The body is then divided into two ears and the crown. Each ear is worked separately, then the crown.
