If you have mastered the Granny Square then this is the perfect next project! The Basic Block is a great first garment as is an easy to make pattern and an easy to wear piece!
Crocheted in DK yarn and a block colour makes it the perfect multi season layering piece and a must have wardrobe staple, with a bonus of minimal ends to sew in!
The pattern gives you 2 options for Fit and Sleeve type, with the choice of Jumper or cardigan fit and ¾ length frill sleeves or Long Ruched cuff sleeves. The pattern comes in the new KJ Size range which fits an XS- 5XL and comes in 9 sizes between this range. The garment works great as a standard fit, or size up for a boxy fit- pick what’s best for you!
The sample is made in Knitcraft’s Cotton Blend yarn but any DK yarn will do, make it in wool for a winter warmer or cotton for a light layer- remeber that changing yarn may also effect yarn amounts. The pattern is written in both UK Crochet Terms and US Terms.
