Banksi Tee

The Banksi Tee is a seamless short sleeved jumper suitable for babies from newborn to about one year . Named for my newest grandchild , Banksi , this baby jumper or tee is based on one Mum and I made for my children here in Australia . It’s been popular for my grandchildren over the last fifteen years as it’s been easy for their parents to pop it on over a onesie to provide an extra bit of warmth on chilly mornings . I’ve adapted it into a seamless pattern . The sleeves are short but probably reach to a baby’s elbow . I've substituted the yarn mentioned in the pattern for Lang Merino 120 as it's an Australian yarn .

Banksia plants regenerate after bushfires . Banksi was born before Christmas and I'd knitted her some tees last year but when I decided to publish the pattern her mum and I decided to name it after her .

I've chosen to donate all my pattern sales from January 1 to June 30 to my local rural fire service on the south coast of NSW following the devastating bushfires here .
