Product Details
I decided to make a luxurious scarf for myself and it became the Amethyst scarf. The project is worked with a larger needle and a symmetric pattern that goes well with a multicolored skein.
The scarf is knitted flat with lace worked on both the right side and the wrong side.
MaterialYarn - I’ve used the beautiful blend of purple, Violets 9999, from Manos del Uruguay in their fingering weight Manos Silk Blend Fino, 246 yards. (I had about 4 grams left when I finished.)
Beads - I used two sets of beads: 20 beads in a larger size (6 mm) in pure amethyst, and 160 smaller beads (2-3 mm).
Needles - 6 mm (US 10) needles. I’ve used interchangeable circulars and two wires (since it’s knit in two pieces); if you use different needles you will need scrap yarn/a stitch holder to place the live stitches on when knitting the second half.
Crochet hook - 0.6 mm crochet hook for placing beads.
Darning needle - for grafting the pieces together.
