After the Storm Rainbow Ornament

This sweet rainbow makes a lovely holiday ornament for your Christmas Tree. Personalise the cloud with a name, date or sentiment using simple embroidery for a thoughtful gift. Make several and hang from a ribbon or crochet chain for a decorative garland for any time of the year!

The pattern comes with a full picture tutorial, making it suitable for adventurous beginners who have mastered the UK double crochet (US single crochet). Your file will include 4 versions of the pattern: UK terms (right and left handed versions), US terms (right and left handed versions).

Using 4 ply/sport yarn (E.g. Scheepjes Catona or Schachenmayr Catania) and a 2.5 mm hook the final rainbow will be ~9 cm across and 7 cm high. However you can use any yarn you like to make this rainbow, though cotton-rich yarn works best. If using another yarn weight, use as small a hook as possible to keep the fabric firm. Note the size of the ornament will change accordingly, as will the amount of yarn required.
