Product Details
This is a 7 page electronic (PDF) pattern for beautiful mary jane style baby booties, knitted with or without a stunning rainbow sole. Instructions are given for 3 sizes: foot lengths 9, 11 and 13cm long (approx newborn - 12 months) with directions of how to tweak the width, depth and ankle circumference to fit, and ideas of how to change the texture of the shoe.
It takes one 50g ball of any double-knit weight of yarn and a 3.25mm circular needle (or set of double-pointed needles). If you want to do the rainbow sole, you'll need scraps of coloured yarn approximately 2m in length.
Each bootie is knitted in one piece, and I give 3 options for different button-holes or button-loops.
The pattern suits advanced or experienced knitters, because you need to be comfortable knitting, purling and shaping in the round. If you can do Turkish cast-on, you'll produce an entirely seamless bootie. I provide a little photo tutorial to remind knitters how to do Turkish cast-on.
