Product Details
This was my summer travel project – perfect for knitting at a lovely café in Montmartre, Paris, while also sipping my espresso and people watching for a blissful hour.
The cowl is knit in the round in a sport-weight alpaca and features an all-over delicate lace stitch pattern. The leaf-like motifs surround the cowl and consist of simple paired yarnovers with mirrored decreases on either side.
The lace pattern is charted and written out. The 10-row pattern repeat of the lace is easy-to-learn. 2x2 ribbing at the bottom and top of this cowl give it nicely finished edges.
Wrap this cowl around your neck twice, as shown, or wear it as a single draped loop.
The sample shown is knit in a heathered beige, 100% alpaca yarn - a decadent option that results in an accessory that will complement many outfits. If you choose to knit this in another sport-weight yarn, just be sure to choose one that allows for beautiful stitch definition.
Shown in DROPS Alpaca - substitutes suggested.
