A perfect first fair isle pattern for those who'd like to try stranded knitting.
Knit in Baby soft D.K. yarn on 4mm (UK8-USA6) knitting needles.
Pink stripes using: K1, (Yarn A,) K1, (Yarn B,) to create a birds-eye stripe with no strands to get babies fingers caught in! With a pretty picot edge.
The knitting pattern includes a chart and written instructions for 7 sizes.
To fit chest sizes: Prem 1: 35.5cm/12in: Prem 2: 40.5cm/16in: 0-3m:45.5cm/18in: 3-6m: 50.5cm/20in: 6-12m:56cm/22in: 1-2yrs:61cm/24in: 3-4yrs 61cm/24in.
To fit Ages: Prem1:Prem2:0-3m:3-6m:6-12m:1-2yr:3-4yr.
Knit from the bottom up using a small quantity of yarn. You will need 2 x 50gram ball of each colour for sizes Prem to 6 months and 4 x 50 gram balls of each colour for sizes 6 months to 4 years. Alternatively the cardigan can be knit in multi colours of choice to use up some of the stash!
