As a zoo volunteer I love to knit hats featuring our zoo's amazing animals. These adult size hats feature swans. The pattern has two styles -Swimming Swans with 5 swans swimming in a circular pond, & Kissing Swans with two facing each other at the center front.
The swans are embroidered in duplicate stitch, creating a rich depth to the design on the finished hat. I used inexpensive & readily available Red Heart Super Saver for the samples, but any worsted weight could be substituted. The pattern includes large & complete swan charts for both hats, including duplicate stitch paths to follow.
Gift tags to print are also included.
I encourage knitters to use their extraordinary talents to help their favorite non-profit causes. These sample hats will go to our local zoo keeper chapter for sale at their annual fundraiser.
