    About

I started these socks a year ago. I completed the first sock June 2023 then the project became a UFO 🛸 I picked up the needles about a week ago and am pleased to say sock two is complete June 2024. I didn’t realise until today, I would be presenting these to my husband as anniversary gift today 😜 43 years. I had to explain significance of pineapple being a symbol of good luck too - who would guess recipient was with me all the time - and surprising to me seemed very pleased with them 🥰

Thank you Michelle I’m glad I went back and finished them off even if it’s tricky to remember where you were 🤪 I wonder if hubby is going to turn into a home knit sock man I’m not sure I want to indulge him in that manner, he’ll have to prove he loves them as much as me and wear them out - not too much to ask 😜😂

Thank you Mary the colour resembles pineapple which is appealing but I don’t know if you’d enjoy the yarn (a cotton mix) it seems to twist a bit when I knit with it I needed to regularly untwist it before forming a little knot. I think that and not having person in mind for socks turned it into UFO. But I’m glad I returned and finished them as it seemed easier once I got into a rhythm and now I’ve free’d up the needles 😍
