My friend/colleague is having her second baby in March. She loves handmade items and things that are traditional or a bit ‘vintage’. I hope this fits the bill.
Pattern mods:
I did one less repeat of the 24-row middle section because a) it was going to be big enough, b) I was getting short on time, and c) given the way the yarn was working out, I was due to run out of the 3rd ball on either the last row or the castoff row. I did have a 4th ball, but didn't want to have to use it just to cast off.
A couple of errors I spotted in the pattern:
ROW 21, the repeated section should be - *K3, yo, K2tog tbl, K3, K2tog, yo, K1, yo, K2tog tbl, K3, K2tog, yo, K2* [This is for every Row 21, including the 3rd row of the st st section after the eyelet section is completed. It is wrong in both written and charted sections.]
ROW 17, the repeated section should be - *K4, K2tog, K4, yo, K1, yo, K4, K2tog tbl, K4* [Written section only.]
