    About

Another project using up stash wool that I’ve had for about 4 years. Love the yarn as it is so soft but reluctant to use as it’s superwash and grows A LOT when washed! However decided it would be suitable for this jumper and after sampling and blocking thought that if I knit the smallest size after washing it should be the correct size which is exactly what happened, fortunately. Love the finished jumper, should fit her well and is very comfortable. Would make one for myself.

    Yarns

    • material-yarn
Drops Merino Extrafine DK - Light Grey Blue 12.0 balls

    Needles & Hooks

    • Circular 3.25mm (US 3) 80cm
    • Circular 3.75mm (US 5) 80cm

    Accessories

    • Cable Needle
    • Tapestry Needle

    Measurements

    81-86cm

Notes: Knitted the neck 3 times! There is an omission on the pattern for when the stocking stitch should reverse so that the knit side of the collar is showing when turned over. I didn’t spot this until well into the collar so had to unpick back to where I thought it should be. Having finished and washed and blocked the jumper I decided that the neck was too wide and the collar flopped over and didn’t look like the pattern photos. So unpicked back to picking up the collar stitches and reduced the number of stitches around the raglans and on the cable, worked 10 rows stocking stitch then switched to 2 x 2 rib for the whole of the collar so matching the hem and cuffs. Pleased with the final result.

@Lynn A: ooh! Now there’s a thought😂 I wanted to keep Jaycee. I knit it for my friends birthday. Did tell her I’d have it back for Xmas if she didn’t like it😆

@Jacqueline W: we’ll I’m just knitting her a dress so if I finish it in time to post to America she may get that instead and I’ll keep the jumper!
