    I liked the look of this double brimmed beanie in straight stocking stitch. I went up 3 needle sizes to get gauge.

    Notes: The final result was great. After washing, I stretched it to the desired size over a balloon. The fit needs to be precise, since there's no ribbing. The designer includes instructions on how to modify pattern to work for various yarns and needle sizes.
