    About

Another grandson to be born in Australia, Unlike Louis who was born in the summer, due beginning of June, so a winter baby. More scope for knitting. My daughter in law said she would like a romper with long legs. Looked at quite a few patterns and found this one.
Its a great pattern, row by row instruction, and the only sewing up the inside leg seams. The button holes are worked on both sides, so no confusion about getting the buttons in exactly the right place. Knitted both legs at the same time on circular. The different sizes on the pattern are worked by using thicker/finer yarn and larger/smaller needles. This time used the Debbie Bliss sport. Found this to be on the thicker side almost like a fine double knit. Used the medium needle size, correct one for this yarn I think. The little romper is lovely, though might be a bit on the large size for a smallish newborn. Plan to knit another one in a 4ply yarn. Will have to get a move on as baby due 2nd of June.

    Needles & Hooks

    • Circular 3.75mm (US 5)
    • Circular 3.25mm (US 3)

    • Stitch Markers
Other : Spare circulars to leave stitches on.

    Measurements

Notes: Ordered 3 balls to start with, but needed to order more to finish the little hat. Ordered another 3 so hopefully with have enough to maybe do the little cardie. Nice yarn feels nice and cosy.

Thank you Helen ๐Ÿ˜Š Hope so too, though may have to wait a while. ๐Ÿ˜‚Baby is expected to be quite small and my romper has come out a bit on the large side . But definitely will add a photo once I have one.
