Tahki founder Diane Friedman was inspired to create Donegal Tweed when she discovered a mill in County Donegal that was spinning lovely wool tweed weaving yarns. Lovely tweed yarn, very nice to knit with.
This is a lovely yarn to work with. I’ve bought it many times. One of my favourites.
I found the wool not soft at all. Will try to wash it before use, and make it softer I liked the colours, they were as expected.
This is great to knit with and sooo warm to wear. I knitted my daughter a jumper two winters ago and she’s worn it non-stop so I knitted myself a cardigan last winter and now I’m going to knit something else for myself in a number of Tahki colours for this winter coming - I love it that much!
